A legendary vision of unparalleled beauty, the sacred forest of Chitrakuta was the home of Shri Ramachandra, his consort Sita and brother Laxman during their exile from Ayodhya. Chitrakuta is revered as a space of immense spiritual significance, where the ancient Indian sages, including Atri, Agastya, and Sharabhanga, were said to have meditated amidst the panoramic scenery, lush with flora and fauna .
Originally conceptualised by the Magicsimsim Design Team lead by creative director Ms Simi Biswas and executed on a pure silk base, using a cornucopia of heritage hand embroidery techniques like Aari , Zardozi , Pitta, Marori by inter generational master artisans, “Chitrakuta” blurs the boundaries between surface ornamentation and jewellery creating precious heirlooms for future generations.
